‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You’ is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Michael Masser. The song was originally released by the singer George Benson in 1985. Two years later, the singer Glenn Medeiros had a global hit with his cover version. George Benson recorded the song for his 1985 album ‘20/20’. Richard Marx can be heard providing backing vocals. His version was produced by Michael Masser and released as a single in Europe, with a cover of the song ‘Beyond The Sea (La Mer)’ as the B-side. His single did not climb higher than number sixty in the UK charts. After Glenn Medeiros won a local talent show – Brown Bags To Stardom – at the age of sixteen, he released the cover of the song. Given that Whitney Houston had scored a number 1 hit with another George Benson cover, ‘The Greatest Love Of All’, the producer managed to convince Glenn Medeiros to release the single to a wider audience. The single became a global hit, which was arranged by Frank Bernaerts for concert band, fanfare and brass band.
