“A Last Christmas Fantasy!” is an arrangement based on Wham!’s world-famous Christmas song “Last Christmas”, written by George Michael (1963–2016). Arranger Jan van Kraeydonck wrote this piece with the idea of incorporating the theme of “Last Christmas” into this arrangement in various styles. In this composition, which lasts almost five minutes, you will hear the theme as an introduction, in a classical version, as a pizzicato, a pop song, a rumba dance version and an epic version that builds to a majestic climax. Finally, the theme is heard once more in the various instrumental sections, ending with the melody briefly repeated in a trumpet solo. “A Last Christmas Fantasy!” is an absolute must-have in any Christmas repertoire.
